Caplinger’s Story

In 2013 Andrew, his wife, Courtney, and dad, Nick, founded Caplinger’s Fresh Catch. We are just what our name says. With deliveries coming in every single day, you can be sure you’ll always get the freshest catch that there is.

Caplinger’s Fresh Catch Seafood Market began with a vision to make fresh, quality seafood available in the Midwest. Andrew Caplinger gained much of his knowledge from working alongside his father and business partner, Nick Caplinger. Nick owned and operated the 56th Street Fish Market and preceded this venture by starting O’Mallia’s and Mr. D’S grocery store’s seafood programs. With their community-centered business model, the Caplinger family has been in the seafood industry for over three decades. Caplinger’s employees have more than 150 years of combined seafood knowledge. Therefore, you can always expect to leave with the confidence that you received the best instruction to ensure a tremendous culinary seafood experience.

At Caplingers, we debunk the misconception that you have to travel to the coast to get quality seafood. Come and see why we have won both local and national recognition as one of the best seafood markets in the country.
